"The medical professionals at the Wellness Centre have been working with me for six years. Even though I am diagnosed with several uncurable debilitating medical conditions my health has vastly improved under their care.  I'm no longer anemic, I'm able to walk without any aid, I'm able to carry on a normal conversation, I can sleep all night, I've lost 60 pounds and can walk for 40 km but most importantly I'm able to care for, play with my grandchildren and go on all day only night adventures with them. When I started working with their herbalist, acupuncturist, RMT, and nutritionist I was bedridden 70% of the time. "I and my son both have quite severe and complex needs and rely on the services of the Compassion Roots Wellness Centre. Shortly after Covid hit the Wellness Centre eliminated in-person services. I booked phone appointments for my son and myself. Each appointment was an hour long. Each appointment was so thorough in every aspect of my being physically, mentally, and spiritually. We were provided with wise advice and changed and added many of our medications. We have had subsequent phone appointments and numerous emails. "Thank God for the Wellness Centre. I don’t know where I would be today without them. Before coming to the Wellness Centre, I felt very alone with no one to turn to. I have no family in BC and no one I could really turn to. After being diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, I felt overwhelmed. The Wellness Centre welcomed me with open arms and made me feel safe. I could tell that they really did care. The bodywork practitioner and counselor have gone out of their way to help me in no many ways, such as calling me when I’m not feeling good, just to be sure I was okay. I was never much for talking but they have made me so comfortable that I’m able to talk to them about anything and everything. I thank God for the Compassion Club Wellness Centre. I’ve been fortunate to have had acupuncture, counseling, and energy healing. The latter modality totally relaxes me. I often fall asleep in the middle of a conversation. I’m also now seeing a herbalist and already feel healthier since seeing her. I clicked with her immediately. I feel like I’ve known her for a long time and have already learned so much from her. The Wellness Centre has really lifted my spirits and helped me through so many challenges. I feel better about myself and it has helped ease the terrible pain. I know years have been added to my life because of the care. One other thing love is the sweet, gentle voice at the end of the telephone line. The Receptionist is so sweet. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, everyone is treated in the same way. The Wellness Centre has been here for me since the day I signed up. Sadly, I don’t work now because of my MS and don’t have much money but that has not affected my treatments nor the way I’ve been treated. They work with me and ask for nothing in return.
