What to expect from your herbal appointment:
Clinical Herbal Program:
What to expect from your herbal appointment:
Appointments are available by phone or zoom. Your first herbal
appointment will be 60-120 minutes long. The herbalist will ask about
any medications, herbs, and supplements you currently take. The
appointment will also include a detailed health history and a review of
your diet. We work from a patient-centred philosophy, so our herbal
recommendations will be tailored to meet your health goals.
After your appointment, the herbalist will prepare recommendations and
research your current medications (if there are any) to avoid herb/drug
interactions. After that, your herbalist will be available to explain
how to prepare and use your herbal regime and answer questions about the
recommendations.
We are able to dispense herbs and supplements from our extensive
apothecary and these can be mailed to you. The herbalist will follow-up
after a few weeks to see if you have any questions or feedback about the
herbal remedies.
Our program is tailored to your needs - you can book a single
appointment or arrange to have regular follow-up appointments with your
herbalist.
What to expect from your counseling appointment:
Clients who seek the services of a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RRC) should expect:
A conversation about the benefits, risks, and expected outcome(s) of clinical counselling and the opportunity to give informed consent
A clearly communicated and mutually agreed upon goal or plan for clinical counselling
Each counselling session has a clear beginning and a clear end where problems or concerns are presented and discussed, and outcomes are explored
The RCC demonstrates the appropriate use of boundaries and offers a safe and confidential environment
These essential elements are part of the effective therapeutic relationship that is foundational to the practice of clinical counselling.
